The Pentium Chips use 2's complement for Integer Representation.
The left most bit is the sign bit.
A negative is represented by complementing the number and adding one.
To convert from negative to positive just get the complement and add one.
Examples:
0111 1111 1111 1111 = 32767
0000 0000 0001 1010 = 26
0000 0000 0000 0001 = 1
0000 0000 0000 0000 = 0
1111 1111 1111 1111 = -1
1111 1111 1110 0110 = -26
1000 0000 0000 0000 = -32768
