CLASS AVERAGE
- Make sure the numeric values in the
worksheet are right justified. The column headings, student names, and
CLASS AVERAGE should all be left justified. Boldface the column headings
and the words "CLASS AVERAGE".
- Fill in the column labeled TOTAL by
summing the 3 exam scores for each student. You must use a formula.
- Compute the CLASS AVERAGE for each
of the 3 exams (sum the scores and divide by the number of students). Do
NOT compute an average for the TOTAL column.
- Display all values in the worksheet
with 2 digits to the right of the decimal (use the Cell option in the
Format menu), except for the values in the TOTAL column. These values
should be displayed with no decimal points (0 digits to the right of the
decimal).
- Create a custom footer that
contains your name and assignment #. Place the footer in the bottom right
corner of the page.
- Save the worksheet. Use Print
Preview to make sure all data is completely displayed and the worksheet
fits on one page (change to landscape orientation if necessary). Print the
worksheet with the grid (Page Layout > Gridlines > Print).
- Go to the Formulas tab and click
Show Formulas. This will cause the worksheet to be displayed with all the
formulas used. Make sure the worksheet will fit on one page and print a
copy of the worksheet with the grid. Go back and turn off the formula
view.
- Make sure you save the worksheet
for use in assignment #8. Hand in both printed copies of the worksheet.
