• Who should take 656 instead of 456?
  • All graduate students, including graduate special students.
  • All undergraduates who wish to use the credit toward a graduate degree (permission is required in advance for an undergradate to enroll in a graduate course).
• What are the differences between 656 and 456?
  • Grading will be at a higher standard in 656.
  • 656 students will be required to turn in an extra assignment. Each 656 student must work at least one challenge problem and turn it in by the last week of class.
