Compression:
Image compression is based on the fact that most
images have a very correlation of neighboring pixels. This means that
given a pixel in an image, the pixels next to that pixel will almost always be
the same or close to that pixel. We can use this fact to compress images
in several methods. Some of these methods are discussed in the sections
below.
